Before "Hoarders," one Leona Washburn was placed under arrest! That's right. Here she is being comforted by her pal "Billie Joy" as she sobs for being one big fat slob arrested for endangering the lives of 6 kids in 1951.

I think "Billie Joy" wants to leave as soon as she gets her stockings and shoes on.
Seeing all the photos via the link, Leona's sloppiness is evident, but the squalor is shockingly modest, compared to some of the houses I've seen on any of the hoarding series.
I know! Now they just pick up the phone and go on Tee Vee. There should be a big giant SLOBS PRISON.
ps. Note the little "noose" in the window!
I once decorated the walls of a rental unit with a roll-on spider web pattern. I was also rather messy.
I wonder if a neighbor reported Leona. Over the years, it seems once such concerned citizens (friends or relatives, too) were increasingly labeled as "nosy", vigilance on the upkeep of neighbors' houses dropped considerably, resulting in the all the messiness we see documented on these shows.

two year old kills self with temper tantrum.
not sure what to say.
It's just odd, if you take it at face value. The boy's death should've been listed as accidental (unless he had some pre-existing condition); he didn't commit suicide.
Yes! I posted those on my tumblr awhile back. I googled the name and tried to find out more but I couldn't.
