I've been wrist-deep in this little gem by my smut-lovin'-and I say that in the highest regard-pal
Jim Linderman since it arrived a few days ago. Tackling (ahem) a sadly disregarded subject with zeal, careful history (What? SI didn't put a black model on the cover until Tyra Banks in 1996? And you thought times had changed, really.) and marvelous photography, you'll delight in this. I love Jim's books, and this one is a special treat.

HA! I saw her throw a hissy-fit at the Hamburger Hamlet a few weeks ago.

He wrote it in response to a question on a message board: "Why are there no black pinups?"
The history (and photos) are pretty astonishing. Aside from the obvious marginalization these women faced, what he collected is great. Get it!
