Freddie Garrity is a totally underrated comic genius.
A great piece of footage is F & the D's at the 1965 NME awards where the pull out all the stops-- pants dropping, hysterical shrieks, etc. in an attempt to upstage the Beatles and the Rolling Stones which the nearly (not quite) did.
