Let's Have a Barrel of Fun!
C'mon over to the rathskeller, gang! George McCrae will be there, and Donna made the most delicious pie, and this barrel furniture is super comfy! It's been so fun to meet you all this year.

New Year's Eve Party Recipes
After Lily's stunning yule log holiday confection for George McCrae's performance (don't even get me started on how much we both love him), it was my turn to step into the kitchen. I removed my wiglet and donned my lower heels and apron to make this crowd pleaser:

RITZ® Mock Apple Pie recipe
What You Need
Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie
36 RITZ Crackers, coarsely broken (about 1-3/4 cups crumbs)
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. cream of tartar
Grated peel of 1 lemon
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Make It
PREHEAT oven to 425°F. Roll out half of the pastry and place in 9-inch pie plate. Place cracker crumbs in crust; set aside.
MIX sugar and cream of tartar in medium saucepan. Gradually stir in 1-3/4 cups water until well blended. Bring to boil on high heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer 15 minutes. Add lemon peel and juice; cool. Pour syrup over cracker crumbs. Dot with butter; sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll out remaining pastry; place over pie. Trim; seal and flute edges. Slit top crust to allow steam to escape.
BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until crust is crisp and golden. Cool completely.
Kraft Kitchens Tips:
Enjoy this mock apple pie treat but be mindful of the serving size.

This Amazing Creature
Tiffany Carter was one of three stunners chatting in my patio yesterday. Boy was my handyman surprised! If only I had a video camera. Of course I begged to interview everyone for my blog so I promise that is coming soon. Tiffany is wearing a costume by Bobby Gersten for Angel Ray. Disapproving Dowagers
Good lord, how did SHE get in here?

Lethal and Lily's first attempt to branch off into their own dowager splinter group was met with mixed results.
thanks Felix

Santa Claus?
Why settle for the same old red and black that everyone else has? Around here we like St. Nick better, and I think you'll know why:
