Western Union

Regular readers will know of my Bob Conrad in "Wild Wild West" fetish. I call it that because (short primer here), in addition to his character's usual bondage or imprisonment, he is usually stripped to the waist, slapped, whipped, and beaten in just about every episode, often by women! What this did to me as a small girl is fairly obvious.

CLASS

How much do I love this picture? It conjures up satin baseball jackets, iron-on t-shirts from Salisbury Beach, Marlboro cigarettes in the back of my cutoffs, roller skating, Ace Frehley's "Back in the New York Groove," my dad's big minty green Thunderbirds. I wanted to look like this "when I grew up." Trash.

Size-D Implants Saved Woman's Life: Doctor

A firearms expert says it's possible, but saline implants aren't bulletproof vests

By JONATHAN LLOYD
Updated 8:00 AM PST, Thu, Feb 25, 2010

ACEBOOK

A Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon says a woman's size-D breast implants might have saved her life when a gunman opened fire at her office.

Lydia Carranza was working at the Simi Valley dental office July 1 when her co-worker, the gunman's wife, was shot and killed.

Carranza was just a few feet away. She survived a gunshot to the chest, but the the bullet left a scar and deflated the implant.

"She's just one lucky woman," Dr. Ashkan Ghavami told the LA Times. "I saw the CT scan. The bullet fragments were millimeters from her heart and her vital organs. Had she not had the implant, she might not be alive today."

Hi-C

My breakfast drink was especially good this morning.

Isn't it funny that there is (was?) a kid's breakfast drink with that name? I mean, really.

I've been reading Lorca today and thinking about Joe Strummer.

"this is not a Bruce Springsteen number, its supposed to be poetry"

Thank god. I plan on going the rest of my life without ever hearing another B.S. song.

I will miss you forever, Joe.

I told you!

Damn, people who can't make it to my "bad movie nights" get so damned upset!

I love Gert Wilden. This song is from another film - this clip is from "Los Neuroticos."

Saint of the Day: Dan Duryea

Dan Duryea and Joan Bennett in "The Woman in the Window"

St. Daniel
Died in 309, He and four companions, Elias, Isaias, Jeremy and Samuel were Egyptians who visited Christians condemned to work in the mines of Cilicia during Maximus persecution, to comfort them. Apprehended at the gates of Caesarea, Palestine, they were brought before the governor, Firmilian and accused of being Christians. They were all tortured and then beheaded. When Porphyry, a servant of St. Pamphilus demanded that the bodies be buried, he was tortured and then burned to death when it was found he was a Christian. Seleucus witnessed his death and applauded his constancy in the face of his terrible death; whereupon he was arrested by the soldiers involved in the execution, borught before the governor and was beheaded at Firmilian's order. Feast day Feb. 16.
OUCH! That bit about Seleucus applauding bothers me - shouldn't he have tried to save him instead of clapping?

Chitchat with Diana Dors (and Dickie!)

and Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy, too!

ANNOUNCEMENT!

After much deliberation (ten minutes) and many people telling me this (actually, that part is true), my old pal and I set up a blog called "Slap and Tickle."

All your sex and love questions answered there.

Hell, throw in anything else, too (Jami) - someone asked me how many eggs were in a pound cake! I just configured it last night and when I got up this AM there were ten questions.

Like all good Q&As, all questions are anonymous. No, they are. That's what formspring is.

I'm Slap, he's Tickle. But you knew that already.

Love is Like Candy on a Shelf

sigh ...

Saint Zsa Zsa of Gabor

Yesterday was her birthday and (gasp!) I didn't even realize it. Of course, she'd be thrilled to know I forgot. I get upset when I think of her in the hands of that awful "prince" (my readers know I refuse to capitalize - he bought that title, the charlatan) and one of my dreams has always been to rescue her. What an influence she has been on me!

Ve don't count, dahling.

Zsa Zsa's reaction when the press told her that Rudi married Barbara Hutton. I did the same thing when I kicked out my ex and people sent me fbook updates of him and his new roomate gf.

ZsaZsa (sporting the "Rudi black eye patch" that became a Vegas vogue - even Marlene's chorus boys wore them) laughing at Rudi and Babs' wedding photo.
