How utterly distateful.

"All of us old junkies just turn into dowagers." Carrie Fisher to Kevin Sessums at The Daily Beast.

I refuse to link.

As my dear Eve Golden says, "What makes her think we'd accept her, anyway?"

No dowager would ever refer to her drug habit in "junkie" terms, anyway. Be off with you, hag. Now, where's my laudanum? I need a lie-down.

Up a Lazy River

I'm a big Hoagy Carmichael fan.

I do love that there's a new January Jones - Betty Draper on Mad Men!

Louis Prima! Oh, gimme a guinea that sings and I swoon:

Carol Doda

Read about Carol here. She has a Lace and Lingerie Boutique! You know I'm dying to know about the guys in the band.

Pinching Pennies

I saw this on NPR's Twitter:
Are Carmax Search Trends Sign Economy's Ready To Soar?

but I read it as:
Are Carmex Search Trends Sign Economy's Ready To Soar?
and of course thought, "Well, that's no sign the economy is soaring - everybody knows that is a drugstore must-have!" I've never had a cold sore in my life, but Carmex is great for chapped lips, and it's cheap!

RIP, Al Martino

Don't Judge My Hair (DO IT!)

Oh my goodness! It has actually been nearly a week since I've blogged - how unlike me. I do have a reasonable excuse in that I have been working, but who cares? Let's talk about hair. My pal in all things sickness, Scott Michaels, sends - how have I not known about this?

Hail Hail Rock

I nearly fainted when I saw the trailer for the new Chris Rock movie. If there was ever a film made for a group viewing of Dusty, PZ, and me, this is it! It's got everything we love and more. I love that he made it and I can't wait to see it:

And the Password is ...

Jane Fonda, 1962, on the Tuesday evening edition of "Password." The other guest was James Mason, whose new movie was "Lolita."
