Oh yes. One of the greats in the pantheon of what I refer to as "Tell the story, girl" songs. Another gem is the Three Degrees 1971 version of "Maybe".
These should not be confused with "Tell the story, boy" songs. I.E. Isaac Hayes' "By The Time I Get To Phoenix". Whole different sub-genre. But you know these things.
