Did you know that fab Felix in Hollywood has a store? Is there really a Santa Claus?

Not to turn this into Jerry's Telethon or anything, but who's gonna step up and help little Donna achieve her wish of owning this life- restoring hair dryer!?!

To quote Natalie Wood from Miracle On 34th Street, "I believe, I believe, it's silly but I believe."

Now can I get a timpani roll.......

Oh man! Donna's not the only one who wants one. Mom and I are on the look out for one. Mom used to be a professional hairdresser and wants one of these for our house to use.

I managed to find an old GE bonnet dryer on eBay for cheap that works great, except the elastic is stretched out, but that's easily fixed by having new elastic sewn over it. But one of these type of dryers is what we ultimately want because they dry so much faster and better when one's hair is set.

Sadly, I can't afford it and we live in Costa Mesa. Not that far from LA but still -

However, if there was seriously a "online-a-thon" for Donna, like someone setting up one of those PayPal accounts where people can donate money towards something (one friend I have used it to help raise money to pay his rent) - I'd be willing to chip in $10 or so (about all I can afford) and live vicariously through Donna.

Oh, Donna, I saw a HORRIFYING new blog that I thought you and the others would get a kick out of. It's called Pale Is The New Tan - nerve shattering fake bakes, women so darkly tanned their skin is as wrinkled as an elephants' - right now the newest one links to an article about a ten year old who burned herself in a tanning bed. And I thought PeopleOfWalMart.com was terrifying!

I used to know a speed queen or two, but I'd donate to Donna's Need-for-Speed-athon. By the way Jami, the Walmart site is scary but the fake tab site is truly terrifying.

Well, I can't afford the hairdryer, but I did buy the totally awesome scarf. Thanks for the link, Donna!

I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or give it to mom - she and dad are insisting on used items for gifts this year, preferably from the thrift stores. And it's more her colors then mine. But I do love things from the 70s so much....

Ah! Such a quandary! I suppose I'll have to wait until I get it before I decide.

Oh, damn! You are sweet. And I'm broke (PLUS, these damn these use a lot of electricity and I live in a very old house. But I know he sold his pretty quickly.) You probably will sell yours fast. Good luck!
