Damn it! Why couldn't have my sisters and I been born eighty years ago? This is what we were meant to do/ become in life. Yes, we were meant to wear natty outfits, singing, swinging, and flipping out on stage.

Oh man, I love that.
What saddens me though, is the thought that if those women were around now, the one who's in the middle at the start - despite her obvious physical fitness and stamina - would be called "fat" by people just because she looks a little puffy around the middle.
We need to go back to the standards for women and beauty that they had back when this was made. When women looked like women, not pre-pubsent 12 year old boys. (Calling into question the sexuality of every male who thinks Kate Moss and other bone-thin women like her are "hot.")
I wonder who they were and why they weren't famous - they SHOULD be!
